STATUE FOR VINNY

T.J. Simers is right! There should be a statue of Vin Scully at Dodger Stadium. Absolutely.

And hey, it's not for any lack of trying on our part. We're trying. There is trying in baseball.

So look, we're talking the same deal as the Statue for Sandy. Same idea to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for Dodgers charities, same ace sports sculptor, Malcolm DeMille (yes, he's related to Cecil B.), same co-sponsorship, along with this publication. Same chance to do something wonderful for as worthy a Dodger as there is on Earth, while creating a beautiful sculpture for Chavez Ravine.

We've even got another "lefty in bronze" to get done.

All that's needed is your support, and by that we mean an email. Just a simple email, telling us you think Vin Scully ought to have a statue in his honor, commissioned for placement at Dodger Stadium. If you can forward this page around, all the better.
